Another AoFHM Portrait

So... It turns out I did have something to submit for today even though this piece was made sometime at the beginning of the month. hah... So this is Gwen, one of the main protagonist of the comic.  She's a healer as well as a elemental mage. I'm not quite sure what to do with that hair, but this is definitely not a final draft of the character.

Quick Hour and Half Study

Time to start up the dailies again. Here's a quick experimentation painting with some "new" brushes.  I got some brushes from artists on dA (deviantart.com) that I haven't had a chance to test out and now that winter break is here, there's plenty of time to mess with them! I need to start putting in more saturated colors into my paintings.  I think this one is too muted for my liking.

Trying to keep on top of everything is a challenge. Here's about two weeks worth of speed paintings.  Hopefully next time I don't have a giant post with speed paints on them.

Just for kicks I decided to do today's paintings in Photoshop. . . Bad decision unless I was doing a painting with metal or gems in it. Lesson learned.
